Realtek update
I have a msi computer and downloaded the Audio_Realtek_ALC268_6.0.1.5938 for windows 7. When installing my Realtek files were removed and the download won't install. I went to the Realtek site but it seems to be down. My microphone no longer seems to work on Skype. The Realtek manager is also missing. Any suggestions?

RE: Realtek update
It was probably just a temporary web outage, Realtek website works for me now:
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/down...o%20Codecs
or
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/

You can also try to roll back the driver as explained towards the end of our FAQ
http://www.devicedoctor.com/device-doctor-faq.php

Last possibility, if the error message is along the side that current installer can't find the installation files of previous installer, you can download the Windows Installer Clean Up utility (from some download site, Microsoft discontinued it), install and run it and remove Realtek from the list, then run the installer again.

Thanks for the response. I downloaded the driver from Realtek and tried to install the file and received the following error code 0x00000005. I downloaded the Windows Installer Clean Up utility but it didn't reveal any Realtek software. The only Realtek software is the 8136 8168 8169 ethernet driver. I did a restore point before installing the drivers but it will not return to any restore point.

RE: Realtek update
In such case best way would be probably to use MSI Liveupdate http://www.msi.com/service/liveupdate/ or to download the drivers individually from their support website.
