Update drivers +
Hello,
I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 Laptop and a Lexmark X1270 All In One printer that uses a USB cable. I was given this Laptop by one of the doctos where I work when he found out that my computer, cd's and dvd's were stolen. He knew I needed one to search for information and print it up. I'm a Vet. Assistant I need to learn more and to print up what I get from the Internet on Animal Virus's, medicines, etc... I will have all pages right there. I did not have a good internet connection, my niece's friend said he knew about computers and said that he would look at it to see what was wrong. The only thing he knew was how to delete drivers. I got Time Warner Internet now but missing drivers for my cd + more. I've been working on getting the printer hooked up now for 3 weeks. I'd be typing all night telling U all I did. Long story short. I read in one of the web sites to go into Device manager, have the USB cable plugged in to printer and computer, computer and printer on. Went to Device Manager- +? Other Devices clicked on +, ?! USB Hub, I unplugged the USB cable from printer and +? Other Devices went away, plugged USB cable back into printer and +? OtherDevices came back. Finally decided that I need to know how/what makes this computer work. I did not put everything in order on what I'm sending in attachments I just kept adding to what I have found. If someone can help me with figuring out what I need to do I will be very greatful. I do not have the $ to take it to be fixed. I thought that fixing what is wrong would help me learn more about computers. I was wrong alot more then I can do. I did try the device doctor, downloaded, installed, setup and ran the scan. Found 16 updates needed, clicked on download updates (several times) and it just kept on taking back to the page where I started the download from. Tried Driver Genius and AVG came up with Trojan horse Backdoor. Hupigon5.ADUT. Gave up and came here to the Forum. morgan6 morgan3773@yahoo.com |

RE: Update drivers +
Hello,
I'd suggest to download the driver directly from Lexmark: http://support.lexmark.com/index?locale=...95760093#1 Click on the Downloads tab and choose the one appropriate for your operating system. |
