manual install of new drivers??
I know to search prior posts. If it is in here I couldn't find it. * I have two updated drivers that Device Driver wants installed manually. I am pretty good at this stuff but am failing at this one LOL.

Of course, good old MS (WXP Pro) wants to locate and install new drivers automatically. Therein lies the problem. I direct the MS Wizzard to the download file but it seems to ignore the file located there.

I find the area where the Update Device driver is located but cannot find the area where MS Kernel DRM* is located

The two files are:
MICROSOFT KERNEL DRM AUDIO DESCRAMBLER 843 KB 21.04.2011

MICROCODE UPDATE DEVICE 454 KB 09.04.2011

Any help will be appreciated.
* Apologies in advance if this issue is addressed elsewhere in the forums.

RE: manual install of new drivers??
Unless you have any sound issues, I'd suggest to skip this update.
If you have sound issues, you can try to run the sound fix-it on http://support.microsoft.com/mats/no_sound

RE: manual install of new drivers??
If you are receiving any updates try to ignore it or otherwise troubleshoot it or ask any computer hardware person to guide you. Because if the problem is not solved then you will have to face problem so try to solve it as early as possible. Mostly drivers are not installed manually but if this driver is installed manually then try to avoid any unknown updates.
