Question about database size
While I like you program, I do have a question regarding the stated database size:
"Our database currently has drivers for over 13 million individual devices and computers" I find that claim to highly dubious. Do you have any evdience to support that claim. As an example DriverAgent claim to have a database of about 3.3 million files and on the whole seems to do a better job a finding updated drivers than other driver update software. Driver Detective has a claimed database size of about 12 million drivers but does not seem to find any near as many driver updates as DriverAgent. (Which leads me to question Driver Detective's claimed database size). My statements are based on using a number of different driver update programs on multiple computers. It does seem strange that a brand new free driver updater program would access a much larger number of updates than well established commercial programs. I have thought for a while that certain makers of commercial driver update software were grossly misrepresenting their database size in order to sell more copies... |
