Removing device doctor

I am trying to uninstall Device Doctor v.2.1 but when i attempt to do this via Control panel add remove programs, an error message comes up saying "File C:\Program Files (x86)\Device Doctor\unins000.dat" does not exist. Cannot uninstall." I have search everywhere for the answer to this problem and cannot find anything directly relating to my problem. This program is completely useless to me. I need it off my computer. I am having all kinds of issues since I installed this program and tech support through the manufacturer of my computer is telling me that this is malware. Can anyone please tell me how I can get this program completely off my computer?
