DD not detecting my internet connection

I just found this software through my RSS feeds from addictivetips.com .

I'm running Windows Vista SP2 32-bit . I installed it to the default location; hit the Scan button and waited . It came up with a dialog box stating that it couldn't detect an internet connection, and wanted to know if i wanted to save the results to a file etc ...

Obviously I do have an internet connection, else I wouldn't be able to post this message lol
I tried on both my wireless and ethernet connection to no avail.

Any ideas ?
