If it used to work in the past, please check at the bottom of our FAQ http://www.devicedoctor.com/device-doctor-faq.php how to roll back, or even restore.

If that will not help, are you sure you have Sigmatel and not Creative Labs sound card?
What is the operating system installed on your laptop (XP, Vista,...)?
