Hello forum,
I am a windows 7 64-bit user and have all of the sudden had severe problems with my Optiarc DVD RW AD-7260S. I custom built my PC and everything went smoothly and was running fine. (All drivers installed correctly) The only trouble I ran into was with my Wireless AE-1000 Logitech adapter that never installed correctly. So, today and I decided to uninstall the wireless ae-1000 driver and was planning to re-install it. Unfortunately I was unable to do so because my DVD drive was not displaying as usual in the "my computer window" and would not load my CD containing the driver software for my adapter. It was displayed simply as a CD drive. I went into the device manager window and was greeted with this "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (code 39) The issue is, is the device is already updated to latest firmware update (1.03) and this device "auto-installs" the drivers needed software. My brother has the same DVD drive and his is working fine, he is also running the same hardware and OS. Thank you in advance for any replies. P.S. I have already done all the kiddy stuff like system restore etc. VEN_8086 DEV_1C02 This is a SATA DVD drive. |
