VIA/S3G UniChrome Pro IGP Driver XP
Hello!
I am new to Device Doctor, It was a really helpful tool to update many drivers in my machine I didn´t know there were new versions available. Unfortunately, the specific driver I was looking for didn´t installed from Device Doctor. The driver is for the integrated video VIA/S3G UniChrome Pro IGP. The program identifies the need for an update for this device and starts dowloading it (the file is 28911 kb and the driver date 11.04.2011), but just when it gets to a 100% download, the downloading Status turns from "Downloading" to "Downloading Error" (printscreens attached), while the other driver packages where downloaded correctly. I´ve tried several times with the same result. What is going on with this driver? Also, is there a way to know what kind of error is going while trying to update the video device? Thank you for your support. |

It's strange that the download seems to have finished, yet error is reported. Thank you for reporting it.
You can try to restart the system and attempt the download once again. If that will not help, best and fastest way would be to download the latest driver directly from the website of the manufacturer I'm sorry. |

RE: VIA/S3G UniChrome Pro IGP Driver XP
Hey Thomas!
Thank you for your response! I´ve have tried by rebooting my PC in the last two days and with the same results. Also, unfortunately, the website of the manufacturer does not have any info for this specific device and when trying to get to the driver-download section, it redirects you to a paid-service website for drivers (which personally I think it is kind of as*holish of them by not giving free support for their devices). Anyway, this is a forum and maybe somebody else has this same problem (and has solved it hopefully!) and share their experiences. One thing I would like to ask: Device-Doctor attempts to download a file but gives me an unexplained error. It would be helpful if you include in the program a logfile where you can know the specific problem encountered with the download. Also, it would be nice to have the option to "download manually" the driver that Device-Doctor is trying to install. Thanks again for your help and keep on the good work! Regards, |

RE: VIA/S3G UniChrome Pro IGP Driver XP
Sorry, I was Indonesia, and I'm not good at speaking english (please understand, if my English is not good)
I have a problem like the one in this thread: http://www.devicedoctor.com/forum/VIA-S3...-Driver-XP I hope you will release the latest version of DD to fix this problem. When this is allowed, the DD will decrease demand and will switch to a paid software by relying on hackers. If this problem can not be repaired, perhaps in spending can download the latest update manually from the official site that shows how to download it or could indicate a link to download it manually. Unfortunately when the DD in the latest spending is still like this. Show that DD is the best software than the other paid software ... thanks,, DD Lovers |
